as part of the 40Hz residency project developed at Casa degli Artisti in Milan, IDRA created a research based work in dialogue with artists, producers and researchers involved in the platform. The project explores the perceptual and psychophysical effects of sub frequencies, with particular attention to low frequency sound, ambient structures and extended soundscapes as tools for attentive and immersive listening. Working with analog instruments and emerging technologies, the performance integrates the use of an EEG sensor to generate sequences as an artistic gesture that embodies the dialogue between music and neuroscience
